Capture / Screenshots

Screenshots that are ready to paste.

Press ⌥⇧⌘4, drag or click a window, and get a clean capture on a backdrop. It comes out sized for the doc, deck or ticket it’s going into.

The screen holds still

The screen freezes the moment you start selecting, so nothing shifts mid-drag. The loupe shows the pixel grid, exact coordinates and the colour under the cursor.

Windows, properly

Click a window to capture just that window, recaptured with its real rounded corners and nothing overlapping it.

Across displays

Drag across screens and the result is stitched into one image, at the sharpest of the displays involved.

A backdrop is a house style

Put any capture on a gradient, paper or your brand colours, with padding, an inset bezel, corners and a shadow. Pick a shape and the frame grows to fit it. Nothing you captured is cropped. Shotbox remembers the look for the next screenshot.

  • Six looks, plus Brand and Solid from your brand kit
  • Shapes: auto, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16

What happens after the shot

A thumbnail parks in the corner. Copy it, save it, open the editor, pin it on top of everything, pull the text out of it, or drag it straight into Slack, Linear or a doc.

  • Capture history keeps this session’s shots
  • Deleting moves a capture to the Trash, never straight to oblivion
